Using BrokerFish inside an AI assistant
Connect BrokerFish to ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity or Gemini and get real international health insurance prices in the middle of the conversation you are already having.
Ask what cover would cost for a 41-year-old moving to Bangkok, or for a family of four in Dubai, and the assistant prices actual plans from the insurers on our panel using each insurer’s own current rate table. Not estimates, not a range, not last year’s brochure figure — the same live premium our comparison site shows for the same person on the same day.
You can then read one plan’s full benefit schedule, line several plans up against each other, and get a link to apply. It is free, and there is nothing to sign up for.
What it can do
- Tell you which insurers can cover you. Several will not write a policy for someone living in their own country of nationality, and some countries are off-panel altogether. Ask first and find out before you look at prices.
- Price real plans for your household. Every eligible plan, cheapest first, each with its price for the whole household, where it covers, what it includes as standard, its excess and any co-payment, and how the price compares with the rest of the market.
- Show one plan’s published benefit schedule — annual maximum, out-patient limit, and every benefit line we track, in the insurer’s own figures.
- Compare two to six plans, reporting what they actually differ on before what they match on.
- Give you a link to apply, with everything you have already said filled in.
- Put you in touch with a licensed adviser if you would rather talk to a person.
What it needs from you
Four things, and it will ask for whatever is missing rather than guessing: your date of birth, sex, country of residence and nationality. Plus anything optional you want to specify — who else needs covering, which currency, how often you want to pay, and whether you want out-patient, dental or maternity cover included.
What it never asks for
No description of anyone’s health. Not conditions, not medications, not treatment history, not height or weight. Pricing does not need any of it, so the connector has no field for it — if an assistant sends health information anyway, it is dropped and the answer says so.
One multiple-choice question is the exception. The connector accepts your answer to the same medical-history question this site asks every visitor, chosen from a set of fixed answers — for example, nothing to work around, a stable and well-managed condition, a past condition you have been clear of for some time, or something else. It is optional, it is always one of those fixed answers and never a description of a condition, and it changes no price — it is used only to point you towards the insurers more likely to accept that kind of medical history, because we know from placing cover which insurers have taken it before. It is guidance from our own experience, not a promise: the insurer’s underwriter decides. It is not stored and is not attached to any quote we keep. Full medical information is asked for only if you choose to apply.
The insurer’s health questions are asked once, on BrokerFish’s own application form, when you have chosen a plan and decided to apply. Never in a chat.
It also asks for no address, no passport or identity number, no bank or card details, and no account of any kind. What happens to what it does receive is set out in our Cookie & Data Policy.
How to add it
The connector is one URL:
https://navigator.brokerfish.com/api/mcp
- Claude — Settings → Connectors → Add custom connector, and paste the URL. Works on every plan, including the free one.
- ChatGPT — Settings → Apps & Connectors → Advanced → developer mode, then add the URL. Requires a paid plan.
- Perplexity — Settings → Connectors → Add connector, and paste the URL. Requires Pro, Max or Enterprise.
- Gemini — add it as a connected app by URL. Currently available to personal accounts in the United States, aged 18 or over.
Assistants move quickly and these menus change; if yours has moved, look for “connectors”, “custom connector” or “MCP server” in its settings. Building your own tool instead? The same six functions are described as an OpenAPI document at https://navigator.brokerfish.com/api/openapi.json.
Things worth knowing before you act on a price
BrokerFish is a broker, not an insurer. Brokerfish Ltd, incorporated in Labuan, Malaysia under the Labuan Companies Act, 1990 (Company No.: LL06440), a licensed Labuan Insurance Broker under the Labuan Financial Services & Securities Act, 2010 (Licence No.: BS200863). Cover is written by the insurer named on each plan.
A price is a quotation, not an offer of cover. Each premium is computed from that insurer’s current rate table for the details given. The final premium and the terms are set by the insurer’s underwriting once you apply.
Nothing an assistant does binds cover. It cannot submit an application. You complete the application yourself on our own pages, and a licensed adviser reads it before it reaches the insurer.
How we're paid: BrokerFish does not charge clients brokerage or service fees. You pay the insurer directly, and BrokerFish may receive commission from the insurer.
An assistant is software, and it can misread you. If a figure matters, check it against the same plan on the comparison board, where every price on this connector also appears — or email us and a person will confirm it.
Getting help
[email protected] reaches a person. If something an assistant said does not match what you see on our site, tell us — we would rather hear it than not.
BrokerFish also answers questions directly, without any connector, at navigator.brokerfish.com/ask.
